About the event
Ruth MacLeod is attending on behalf of the MS Society, who would like to support AIMS by presenting at their summit on the role of the MSS in supporting HSCT for MS.
Ruth is the senior policy officer for treatments, working on policy processes that surround access to treatments and medicines for people with MS. Before that she was a patient safety campaigner, and laboratory manager in the field of cellular signalling.
Dr Claire Winchester
(MS Trust) Head of Information and Engagement
Using evidence to support informed decision making in MS : Supporting the holistic needs of the person with MS.
Moving from science television production to health, Claire has always focused on creating high quality, relevant and trusted information. Communicating complex ideas in an accessible way makes all the difference to people facing difficult treatment choices and wanting to advocate for themselves. At the MS Trust, we support informed, shared decision making between people with MS and their health teams, and believe that there should be equity of access to all appropriate treatments for MS.
