Alex Parker is a passionate advocate for improving healthcare access and support within the MS community. After a challenging MS diagnosis during the turbulent year of 2020, Alex underwent HSCT treatment on the NHS in 2023. This transformative experience has deepened his commitment to supporting AIMS and helping make HSCT more accessible and straightforward for others navigating similar journeys.
With a PhD in Chemistry, Alex brings a rigorous analytical mindset to his work, complemented by extensive experience in the charity sector. Over the years, he has worked at a senior level in international development and the arts, specialising in building organisational capacity to fulfil charitable missions and fostering the growth and development of staff teams.
Currently, Alex works as a freelance charity consultant and serves as a trustee for several other charities. Residing in Sheffield with his partner and young daughter, Alex enjoys balancing his professional pursuits with family life while continuing to champion causes close to his heart.
